Adversity comes in all kinds of ways, shapes, and sizes. And the truth is, everyone will face adversity in their life. However not everyone will conquer it. There's a world of difference between facing adversity and conquering adversity. So the question is, “What does it take to conquer adversity?”
I believe there's a key element that's needed in order to not only face adversity but also to conquer the adversities of life. The element I'm talking about is “PRAISE”! For some, praise comes very easy, it's part of their daily life, it's something they do out of a thankful heart. But for others, it's not so common. Because their focused more on the problem that they're facing rather than on the Problem-solver!
One of the purposes that God has for our lives is for us to grow and mature in our praise to Him. I honestly believe that God wants His people to get to a deeper level of praise. Then we won't question what He's doing, but instead we'll praise Him regardless of the situation we find ourselves in.
The Psalmist puts it this way, "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth" - Psalms 34:1 (NKJV)
Praise allows you to see breakthrough's in many areas of your life. Having praise in your mouth not only confuses the enemy, but it opens the hearts of people around you who see what you are going through. The element of praise is so powerful that it becomes a weapon, and it pulls down strongholds; it casts down arguments; it casts down every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and it brings every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. When you add praise to the situations, you go from facing adversity to conquering adversity! You go from just merely existing to becoming more than a conqueror! You go from hopelessness to becoming a victor!
Just remember, no matter how bad the situation looks... PRAISE THE LORD and let Him be glorified and magnified in your life!
David said this, “Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, 'Let the LORD be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant'. And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness, and of Your praise all the day long.” - Psalms 35:27-28 (NKJV) |
