My name is Timothy Moats.  I am an Ordained Minister in the Assemblies of God with headquarters located in Springfield, Missouri.

I gave my life to Christ in October of 1979.  I went through the Ministerial Internship Program for ministerial training in the early 80's, attended Northwest Bible College in Minot, ND, and Lee University in Cleveland,Tennessee.  I completed my education through Berean University School of the Bible in Springfield, Missouri.

I began my ministry preaching revivals and crusades throughout the United States.  In 1982 I took my first pastorate in Auburn, Illinois.  Since then I have pastored four churches (Marietta, Chenoa, Pontiac, and Stonington) all in Illinois.  Over the years, God has opened some great opportunities to preach in several countries (India, Mexico, Canada, Korea, and Bahama's). Currently I am serving as the Senior Pastor of Joy Assembly in Stonington since May of 2003.

I was married to Deborah (Cody) Moats in 1983.  We have two children, a daughter, Terra Marx and her husband Benjamin reside in Wisconsin.  Our son Timothy and his wife Allison reside in Stonington, Illinois.  God has also blessed us with 6 beautiful grandchildren, Esau, Sean, Liesl, Timothy, Gabrielle and Ephraim.

My desire is to preach sound biblical messages that will not only reach a lost world, but also equip the saints for ministry.
