Strength and Hope for Generations |

There is a time coming when God will gather together His children. Isaiah 35:1 says "The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom."
Sometimes when we are waiting for God to gather His children, we get discouraged and loose hope when we see the state of the world. We feel like our world, our country, our communities, maybe even our own families, are becoming like deserts. Our lives are filled with those who are parched, in need of a touch from God so that their lives will blossom. Maybe we, ourselves are parched and dry as a desert, spiritually speaking.
There are words of encouragement just a couple verses down in Isaiah 35:3 & 4.
"Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, 'Be strong, do not fear; your god will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you'."
Often we are discouraged. That doesn't mean we are walking in sin. It means we need to search out the scriptures that will encourage us, that will steady our knees when they give way, so that our hope in a God who is mighty to save will indeed come with a vengeance and meet our needs - according to His sovereignty.
Isaiah 35:10 concludes this chapter with words of encouragement for our fearful hearts. and the ransomed of the LORD will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
I don't know about you, but this is great encouragement to me. I believe He will come with a vengeance to take back all those whose lives are engraved on the palm of His hand. Those whose lives the enemy is fighting tooth and nail for. I believe the nights spent on our knees in prayer will be so worth it when we stand together and see the vengeance of His might hand take back all that belongs to Him. Be strong and know that God is able to keep those who've given their lives to Him, even if they doubt their own worth.
Psalm 33:11 - But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purpose of His heart through all generations.
I can't wait for that day!
